TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.
